Bath Salt

Instead of paying for expensive bath salt from store, make your own to save money. It is easy and all natural. You will feel better knowing what is in your bath.

Items Needed

  • 1 Cup of Epson salt
  • 1 Cup of Baking Soda
  • 2 Tablespoons of liquid glycerin
  • Essential oils: lavender, peppermint, or lemon
  • Decorative jars

Step One

Combine 1 cup of Epson salt, 1 cup of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of liquid glycerin, and several drops of your favorite essential oils. Mix well to avoid lumps.

Add more essential oils as needed. If you want to make colorful bath salt, add a few drops of food color to your mixture.

Step Two

Add 1/2 cup of sea salt or table salt to your mixture, and allow it to dry overnight.

The next day, mix your bath salt up completely and scoop out the lumps. You can experience with your bath salt by adding dried herbs, or dried flowers to give it an extra kick.

For example, if you use peppermint oil for your bath salt mixture, add dried mint to it.

Step Three

Transfer your mixture into decorative jar. You can also coordinate the bath salt colors to compliment your bathroom decor.

If you want to give it as present, just put on bow, and a small scoop. It is a great gift for co-workers and girlfriends, especially if you use lavender oil, since it will give a calming effect.

Conclusion

  • Food color like pink, add dried rose pedals
  • Sage for green, and dried sage
