When I was a child, we smashed ripen avocado into mush, add crushed ice, and condensed milk to make a sweet treat that no one can refused a taste. We never think about it health benefits or anything else but just how good the concoction was.
Avocado is mostly used in making smoothie in my part of the world; thus limited the uses of avocado, which packs a bunch of other goodness, such as:
- Omega-3 fatty acids
- Anti-inflammatory compounds
- Vitamin A and E
It is one of the fruits that provide loads of protein, support flexible, build strong cell membranes to make sure nutrients can enter and waste can be removed.
Fortunately, you can use avocado in making different dishes, but one of my favorite way is to add it to my salad when the avocado has just ripened enough. Do you know that avocado is good for your skin, and it helps in delaying the aging process?
Hosting phytosterols, carotenoids, flavonoids, zinc and folate, avocado aids in fighting free radicals, repairs, soothes, and renews skin tissue. Put avocado on your grocery list, make friend with it, and add it to your food intake.
