Coleslaw is one of the easiest dishes to make, and it goes great with sandwiches, or any meal you’re putting on the table. If you are crunched for time, pick up an already mix bag of coleslaw at the supermarket, but if you prefer to cut them up yourself, it is even better and fresher. Here is a quick and easy way to make.
• A bag of mix coleslaw
• 1/3 Cup of Sour cream
• 1/3 Cup of Ranch Dressing
• Raisins dice apples, or Cranraising (optional)
Put coleslaw in a bowl, mix in 1/3 cup of ranch dressing, and 1/3 cup of sour cream.
Toss them well!
Sprinkle some raisins on top, to give it a little sweet taste to entice children to try.
Dice up some fresh apple pieces, or any favorite fruits, that your family like to increase the fruit intake.
You can be as fancy or as simple as you want with coleslaw. Just look in your refrigerator for ideas.
• Chopped up nuts such as almond, walnut, or peanut make a great crunch to your coleslaw, and added protein.
• Try to mix in some chopped up celery pieces if your family is allergic to nuts!
