This past week my stomach was just upset all of a sudden. So as soon as I get home; I made myself a pot of special concoction which my family has used for almost everything, from warming up your inside, to ease sore throat, to aid in stomach disturbances and to drink as tea.

Ingredients what you will need:

  • One piece of about 3-4 inches fresh ginger root, skinned and sliced
  • One apple, washed and sliced
  • Honey (optional)
  • Slices of lemon/lime (optional)

Now, put a small pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add fresh ginger slices and apple slices and cook for about 10 minutes or longer.  If you want your tea spicier, add more ginger slices, and if you want to make a larger pot, do the same with ginger and apple slices.

When you are ready to serve, offer your companion a spoon of honey and a slice of lemon/lime to add to their drink. Otherwise, it tastes great without them too.

If you want to use ginger in different things, you can also minced it for marinating meat, or cook with it. This amazing root will surely keep you in good health and stay in wellness.

    Sounds lovely. I used to drink ginger and garlic tea in China whenever I had a cold.
